About

Software engineer, music producer,
and three years into an AI habit.

I got here through gyms, dive boats, construction sites, and a recording studio. None of it was wasted.

I studied music production for two years before this. Loved it, couldn't pay rent with it. I wanted something creative where there was actual work. Frontend turned out to be exactly that. Started studying in 2019 and haven't looked back.

Day to day it's React and TypeScript. Right now I'm migrating a legacy Elm codebase to React, with AI doing most of the heavy lifting. Once you've worked this way for a while, it's hard to imagine going back.

I've been using AI every day since November 2022. Thousands of hours across Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and whatever else showed up. Not just for code either. For planning, creative work, figuring things out. At this point it's just part of how I think.

How I Got Here

1998

Moved to Thailand. Dive instructor. Learned Thai. Stayed longer than planned.

2011

Studied music production for two years. Great decision. Terrible business model.

2019

Started studying frontend development. Creative, actual demand, and nobody asking why I switched careers again.

2022

ChatGPT launched. I logged in during a songwriting session. Have not stopped talking about it since.

2023

Joined Avarda. React, TypeScript, fintech. The first job that actually stuck.

2025

Launched ghostnation.se. Built it for the band, Might be the coolest thing I've made so far.

2026

Built this portfolio. You're already here, so it's working.

Beyond Work

I moved so much for so long that when people asked where I was from, I didn't have a good answer. At some point you stop planning the path and just follow what's interesting. That gave me more range than any career plan would have.

Ghost Nation is the band I started with Thomas in 2017. We write, produce, and mix everything ourselves. Two guys in a studio making the music we want to hear. It's the most rewarding creative work I've done.
