Software engineer, music producer,
and a few thousand hours into an AI habit.
I got to software through gyms, dive boats, construction sites, and a recording studio.
I studied music production for two years before this. Loved it, couldn't pay rent with it. So I went looking for something creative where there was actual work, and frontend turned out to be exactly that. I started studying in 2019.
Day to day it's React and TypeScript. Right now I'm migrating a legacy Elm codebase to React, with agents writing most of the code and me deciding what's good enough to ship.
I've been using AI every day since November 2022. Thousands of hours across Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and whatever else showed up. Not just for code either. For planning, creative work, figuring things out. At this point it's just part of how I think.
Moved to Thailand. Dive instructor. Learned Thai. Stayed longer than planned.
Studied music production for two years. Great decision. Terrible business model.
Started studying frontend development. Creative, actual demand, and nobody asking why I switched careers again.
ChatGPT launched. I logged in during a songwriting session. Have not stopped talking about it since.
Joined Avarda. React, TypeScript, fintech. The first job that actually stuck.
Launched ghostnation.se. Built for the band. Might be the coolest thing I've made so far.
Built this portfolio. You're already here, so it's working.
I moved so much for so long that when people asked where I was from, I didn't have a good answer. At some point I stopped planning a path and just followed what was interesting. It's why the timeline above looks the way it does.
Ghost Nation is the band I started with Tomas in 2017. We write, produce, and mix everything ourselves, two guys in a studio making the music we want to hear. From day one we decided the quality had to hold up in all of it, the songwriting, the lyrics, the production, the mix. It's the most rewarding creative work I've done.
